Bad breath is a trouble known medically as halitosis. The difficulty can result from bad dental habits and it may also be an indicator of other health issues. Bad breath may also be worsened by some of the foods you eat on top of unhealthy habits in your lifestyle.

So what really are the bad breath causes?

Bad breath is caused by a variety of things. The most widespread of those is bad oral hygiene. When you don?t brush your teeth or floss them regularly, food particles trapped in spaces between your teeth can be broken down by bacteria to cause bad breath.

Other things that cause bad breath include some foods and drinks, for example onions, garlic, and some spices. Smoking also leads to bad breath as do some medical issues, though these are rare, for example throat, nose or lung infections, liver/kidney troubles, bronchitis, diabetic issues etc.
